Deck the Halls with Eggnog Lattes (fa la la la la)

The holiday season is always an exciting and overwhelming time to be in retail. This is the first year where I will be in a job that is not a big corporation. I work for the little guy (despite Steve Carey's ogre like qualities) and I am a little afraid since I don't know what to expect. I know lots of people have already asked about quite a bit of presses, pots, and mugs, especially the mugs Jessica (Steve's wife) makes.

The goal here this holiday season is just to not go insane. The only two people really working a schedule are Steve and I and I don't think either of us have a clue whats coming up since our roasted coffee is becoming so popular. In fact, I have seen our bean sales grow dramatically each week since we started. Who knows what will be happening by December 24th.

By and by, I am not trying to let this get to me and around the shop, we haven't been talking about Christmas, but rather Festivus. We are taking a comedic approach to the season this year since everyone knows that Christmas is way overexposed. Most likely what will happen is we will put up an aluminum pole for decorations, Steve will curse me out and then wail on me with his right arm until I bleed from my ears. Oh what fun it will be.

I'm looking forward to the jam this month and I have been working on my drinks. I am gonna win that trophy damnit. I will win it and you will f'n like it. Sorry got carried away there.

In non-coffee related news, I have been listening to quite a bit of Joe Strummer and the Masceleros. They only came out with three albums before Joe Strummer (former lead singer and guitarist of The Clash) passed on but all the songs on each record are worth a listen. Check them out.
